Steve Peat will be in the house defending his Moelfre title with the rat boy Josh Bryceland in tow, against local heroes Gee Atherton and the welcome return of Dan Atherton! Don't forget inform Halo BDS leader Marc Beaumont who became National Champion here a few years ago, and Brendan Fairclough, King of Llangollen. Matti Lehikoinen is the other household name and along with Ben Reid our favourite Irish man. Or will Al Bond the rookie upset the mix again?
With UCI points up for grabs and points means prizes, £3k in cash and £7k in additional prizes means these guys will be foot out, flat out come race runs.

The weather is booked and it's going to be a hot sunny one! We even have a beer tent open all day Saturday and Sunday so if your keen bring your tent as parking, camping and spectating is free! Now add over fifty team, retail and commercial pits to wonder around this really will be a cheap weekend to remember.

Live commentating and race timing will be carried out by Tag Heur who will provide live timing, split track times and a speed trap with the opportunity for the riders to win a £1k Tag Heuer watch.

Course Description:
Moelfre is a natural and superfast rolling course that is open to the elements with only one tree at the bottom to avoid! The switchbacks will be in the course along with the fast rolling middle section that runs parallel to the road. We will again utilise the 4x track and all the new jumps and berms we built in 2010.
The fastest expected time is estimated to be sub 2:30.

The finish is 238meters above sea level.
318 meters is the total vertical drop and the track is 2.32kms long.

We recommend you put Llansilin into your SatNav rather than SY10 7QJ for directions to the track. Please note that there are several Moelfre’s in Wales and you will need the one close to Oswestry – If the Moelfre you have found is more than 15 minutes from Oswestry then you have found the wrong one.
Head along the B4580 by the Old Race Course, through LLawnt, through Rhydycroesau and then into Llansilin. The road curves left (theres a phone box on the right hand side). After 50 yards turn the first right by the 4x4 garage and then first right again, signposted Moelfre. Head up and follow the road to the left, after a mile and almost at the bottom of the dip turn right. Follow the road up for one mile taking caution through the narrow lanes and twisty corners and the race venue will greet you on the right hand side.
