but i have a cat. maybe i could drag my cat behind me on the trails, if my tires were laced with catnip. she might like the extra 4 pounds of tools on her back. you never know.

Actually it is an awesome idea i have one for my dog (different company). It also has the handle on top for briefcase mode and it had a tow hook and loop. Good for hiking or if you want to take your dog around the park and don't feel like having him/her off leash. The nice thing about that is it dose not put any strain on the dogs neck and it allows the dog to pull with the shoulders. Dogs like having it to once they get used to it it gives them a job to do they tend to like that.

the dog itself and the idea are just pure awesomeness. it's really good that there are people who take their dogs with them on trips or just walks up the mountain or park. For instance my neighbor she leaves her dog inside all day, and only gets her out to take a piss and a short walk. i feel sorry for that dog.

But I'm really glad about this one!! Awesome

This is great! My dog loves hers, I think it gives her a sense of purpose on the trail, she leaves the critters alone and focuses on the walk/ride so much better. Be careful about loading your pooch up too much, I have heard about 10% of the dog's body weight is a good number. Any more than that, you might start running (literally) into some issues (hip dysplasia, etc).

nice pack! I have a 2 piece backpack harness (http://leerburg.com/754.htm) and overall I am not satisfied with it - at the speeds she ends up running at, the pack falls off her back onto one side or the other, and ends up limited her mobility.

this pack seems to have some more restraints included to keep the pack on the back; have you had any problems with that?

I've gotta get one of these. My dog's always finding short cuts down the trails which makes me rider faster to try and beat her down to the bottom!! Love riding with my dog. :-) Happy Days!

I've owned one of these for my dog for about 3 years now, they are awesome. We live in Jasper, Alberta so it's held up on numerous backcountry overnight trips, the dog gets used to it in no time at all!

I think its a great idea. My uncle has a life jacket pack for his dog. its to bad my dog is only 9 lbs and small. She could carry stuff while i ride.

bad idea for your dog to be wearing that while running..I train dogs for a living. That breed of dog will most surely have back problems because of that if you continue to use it. Regardless of weight it adds up over time with each step. Cool dog though looks like hes a good buddy!

the dogs rely on us to keep them safe, give them beds, feed them and take care of them.I would say its nice to see the dogs helping them selves. I know our little Remy would love to do the trails with us.

I think he would like it he packs his toys all over the place and gets visualy upset when he drops it and forgets to pick it back up again we get home and he cries. would you rather leave your little friend at home cause you cant fit his stuff in your bag, I know my dog crys when I leave with out him.
would you pack all your childerns/brothers/ or sisters stuff cause they didnt want to eventhough they are fully capable you you ask them if they want to carry their stuff for them self
